Work With Me
I am here to help with a wide range of needs: people recovering from an acute injury and managing different types of chronic pain; athletes looking to boost their performance; clients moving through pregnancy; people struggling with digestive issues; and of course anyone looking to relax and reduce the stress of modern life.

Though I specialize in traditional Zen Shiatsu, performed on a floor mat, fully clothed, I also offer table massage. I am versatile and will work to provide a treatment that is most appropriate for you.

My Background
I have been studying Zen Shiatsu since 2014 with master practitioner Shunji Morimoto of Wendell, Massachusetts, and the community of his students. In 2017, I graduated from the Philadelphia School of Massage and Bodywork where I studied western anatomy, physiology, kinesiology and pathology. Also, influenced by my friend the Rolfer Darah Crowley, I have developed particular focus on working with the body's connective tissue. My hybrid practice offers a variety of ways to realign energetic fields as well as give relief to the structural aspects of the body.

What is Zen Shiatsu?

After World War II, a number of teachers emerged who saught to consolidate the myriad healing traditions of Japan. Zen Shiatsu was the brainchild of one such teacher, Shizuto Masunaga (1925-1981). His work consolidated different practices and philosophies and gave them specific form in shiatsu.
Performed fully clothed on a floor futon, the practitioner uses elbows and knees to lean on, twist, and stretch the whole body. Meridian systems are used to balance the body's systems, with an emphasis on abdominal work.
